Julie Seel Renaud, M.Ed., BCBA, COBA
Julie Seel Renaud is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a Master of Education in Applied Behavior Analysis. Born in England, her career began as a Registered Nurse before moving to the United States with her family. She has over 25 years of mental and behavioral health experience in medical and educational settings.
Julie’s superpower is her ability to connect. With this, she helps learners of all ages identify and cultivate their strengths, nurture curiosity and kindness, and be inspired and empowered to learn to navigate the world guided by their values.
Lotus Flowers and Superpowers was written amidst and in response to a global pandemic and children's mental health crisis. Julie's goal is to engage her audience in an imaginative, relatable, and playful way with mindfulness and the core concepts of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); to promote emotional flexibility and maximize the reader's potential for a rich, meaningful, value-driven life.
When she is not writing, consulting with school districts, or sipping tea in her comfy spot by the Koi pond in Ohio, you can catch Julie with her sketchbook and binoculars in hand, exploring the forests and marshlands of South Carolina.
